This was quite a day. Although I knew we wouldn't flip when it was happening I thought oh my gosh we are going over. I was on the side that suck so the ground was looking kind of close. It was fun getting out as well. Again we are spoiled. All they had was to 2 chains which they tied together to make long enough where they could hook each end to the buses to pull it out.
spending time with the kids

We are spoiled
These were all the men that came to the pastors conference. It was around 100 people and some traveled 2 to 3 days by boat, bus and walking.
Travis had such an awesome experience working with them

These are the typical homes in the area. They are built off the ground because so many are washed away from the rain. It consist of a front porch and one room.
Pastor Earl and his family went out to dinner with us on our last night
Our men along with the local people are going over baseball.
Preparing for vbs

we painted these walls and then one of the ladies that came with us painted a mural. It is beautiful
We had a group pf 24 people
This is some of the buildings in the compound
This is the little plane that we take for our last leg. It seats exactly 12 people.

Worship

Our worship leader practices with them every night for hours and they always learn some new songs in english
This is the hotel that we stayed at in the capital city before heading to porta cabaze's. It was a best western.
This was the only shade that we had for the 8 hr baseball tournament. Luckily where we were staying was pretty close so we could take trips back and forth to get out of the heat and use the bathroom
This is all the kids that came for vbs. Some of these kids walked a long ways to come.
This is our missions director and trip leader. We will use this in the future for blackmail when necessary =)

"singin in the rain"

We taught the kids the "shark" song
The kids love playing jump rope and cards. They will play for hours

This was someone's pet. That is always the way that the kids get there drinks.

Even though my dad is getting older every year he always manages to get in a wrestling match with the kids. I think it has something to do with his size =)

Soccer "Futbol" and baseball are two of the biggest sports in the area and we happened to have a college soccer prayer with us.
