Fathers day

This year was especially special because Mackenzie was old enough to actually participate herself. Although it didn't turn out quite like I wanted (with kids does it ever really =)) I think Travis really liked his gift and so did PaPa. I went to Wal-mart and bought material for Mackenzie to paint her hands and put it in a frame. I also put on there I love you along with her name and then she got cards and she drew in them and help write her name. It was nice as well because although holidays are the busiest days for him making it hard for him to turn calls down he chose to not take any calls til the afternoon. So I was able to spend the day with him and my dad. We went to my parents house and had lunch and then spent the afternoon swimming at my parents house and playing outside. I feel so blessed to have a father who loves and Lord and has spent his life serving him. It has impacted me greatly and I know Mackenzie will be greatly blessed as well with having Travis as a father. He is so good at spending time with her. Everyday when he walks through the door her face lights up and she says hi dad and then she spends most of the evening playing with him. No matter how tired he is he never complains. More importantly he leads our family closer to God and he is a great example for Mackenzie. I am abundantly blessed.

At the Zoo

So having a membership has proven to be worth the money. Mackenzie absolutely loves going. We will probably be a family that always has tons of animals and all different types. Travis definitely married a person who loves them and it has been passed down to our daughter. We try and go about once every 2 weeks. Last week they had a special event for members only between the house of 5:30 and 8. I was very excited that we got to have a family outing together. Travis does not get to go places with is often so when he is able to it makes it all that much better. When we got to the zoo they had a Llama, Parrot, Giant turtle and a huge snake out for you to come and pet. They also had special prices on certain food items. We were able to buy hot dogs for a dollar and enjoy a dinner at the park. They did have some moon bounces as well but they were charging you a dollar. That is not really a bad price but I just recently bought one for Mackenzie of off craigslist so I didn't really see a point in spending the money when we have one at home.
