12 Month Stats

So I know I am a little late with this. That seems to be the trend lately so bear with me. Mackenzie's appointment went great and I am amazed each time that we go how good she is. She had to get two shots and her finger pricked so they could check her hemoglobin. She did not even flinch or make a sound until the last one. The Doctor told me to expect her to cry for the last one because it was going to sting. Her crying only last for a few seconds. Her hemoglobin was great. They usually look for the number to be 11 and hers was 12.1. She has gained a little bit of weight but not much. We were really hoping she would be 20 pds so we could turn her around but I knew that would be a long shot because that would mean she would have to gain 4 pds in three months and for her that is a lot. At the 30% she was 29 in long and 19.2 bringing her to the 18% in weight. Mackenzie is now walking all the time and barely crawls. She continues to learn new things everyday. She is able to get on and off her horse that bounces up and down and spins. She can use her fork and spoon. She still needs improvement on that but none the less she can do it on her own which amazes me. She is such a joy and I am so thankful that God has blessed me with such a beautiful child. I can't wait to see what God has in store for her life.

Spending time with daddy while he works
She loves going to the park and especially going down the slide and being pushed on the swing

Festivities

Each day I think to myself that things are going to slow down and then it seems as is something else comes up.... I have really gotten involved in our local moms group. We meet every Tuesday morning and then Weds I will be going to a bible study that will be focusing on the book of Isiah and on Thursdays I will be leading a bible study called Women Making a Difference in Marriage. I am really excited about doing that. I have really enjoyed being a part of the moms group and giving Mackenzie the opportunity to play with other kids her age. I also have become the party planner for the moms group which involves planning 5 parties.
Mackenzie is now teething and her molers are coming through so it has been a miserable household for the past week. She has been waking up about ever two hrs and is not sleeping well during the day. I pray that they come through very soon so things can get back to normal around here.
Last Saturday I took Mackenzie and another girl with me to the park and when we got there their was a festival going on. It was being put on by local churches and organizations like liberty university, the local christian radio station, Bennett's creek church and more. It was a lot of fun, most of the activities where free and the food and drinks were inexpensive. Mackenzie got her face painted with a heart on one side and a flower on the other. She did so well sitting there while it was being done. Some of the activities that we participated in was a water balloon toss, dunking booth and listening to the local bands play. I know I have said it before but I am really enjoying this age. Mackenzie is really starting to develop and display her personality. She does really good playing with other kids. I went on our first play date this week. We met one friend at the local discovery museum. For the most part she is easy to please and very layed back. As usual though she is a baby and human so she has started to express when she is not happy with em . Its hard for me not to laugh because it is so funny.
