Well things have been extremely busy for all of us this past month really. Travis and I went on a missions trip July 25th through August 3rd. We had a awesome time but I will be posting about that another time. I would like to wait until I get pictures for that. Right now I would like to talk a little about one of the most important things in my life. That would be my baby girl Mackenzie. I can't believe it but she will be 1 yrs old on august 12th. We went a head and celebrated a little early because I had the awesome opportunity of having my sister who lives in Tennessee along with her two children and my Grandma and Aunt and Uncle from Minnesota here for her birthday. I was extremely tired from just having been gone for a week in a half but we had a awesome time. I would like to say that we had a small gathering but with the Tuttle's that is not possible. We has mostly family besides 4 ppl who I would consider to be like family bringing the numbers to about 50 people. We had it at my grandparents house in Richmond which I decided a while back that, that was a good half way point for everyone. We met there where we had a cook out and mostly just hung out and visited. I did have a moon bounce, water balls, ball pit and a few outside games to keep the kids entertained. Don't worry I didn't pay for any of these items except the water balloons. I was able to borrow the rest of the items from family and friends.
As I look back on this past year I am at a lost of words to explain how I feel. I just don't understand how people could choose another way of living. I feel so honored and blessed that God has allowed me this opportunity. Mackenzie is such a joy in both mine and Travis's life. I believe that it is the biggest responsibility that God could give me and I pray that in the end God will be proud of what we do.
Mackenzie is learning more and more each day and she completely amazes me. She is walking more and more (still learning though) she has walked across half the living room. While I was gone she started learning how to use a fork. Although she can't stick any of the food she can hold it the right way and put the food in her mouth on her own. She is completely done nursing.
Her schedule varies a little bit (especially after being a way for so long) but it goes something like this. Between 6-7 she has a bottle and then she goes back to sleep til about 8 around 8:30 she has breakfast, a small snack at 10, lunch at noon, snack at 3 and dinner at 5:30, 6 then down around 7:30 for the night. I had to stop for the week we were gone and when we came back and I tried once but it just seemed like nothing was there so I just decided to stop. I wasn't planning on going after a year anyway. She has her year appointment next week so we will see what the dr's say about her height and weight. She has def filled out a little more so hopefully she will be at 20 pds soon. I am anxious and so is she to be able to turn her car seat around. I think it will make it easier on both of us. I have also started reading to her again at night time. I think with her getting older she is really starting to enjoy it.
